Join us September 13 - 16, 2024 for an exciting weekend of stitching in Cambria!

Featuring workshops with Barry Klein of Trendsetter Yarns and Nancy Bates of Knitting the National Parks and Knitting California fame...among other activities!

You don't want to miss out on spending a weekend in gorgeous Cambria surrounded by fiber lovers. There will be workshops, shopping, relaxing, fabulous food, and enjoyable company!

Location:
The beautiful Squibb House and Black Barn is a unique and historic B&B in the heart of Cambria. The entire property is booked for this event which gives us use of the large sitting room in the Black Barn, the smaller sitting room in the Squibb house, and the many outdoor spaces on the property, both covered and uncovered.

Event Attendees aren't required to stay at the Inn (and won't all fit at the Inn), but your experience will be that much richer if you do. This warm, welcoming inn has flavor, charm, and a story that's truly original. In addition, they are offering a special rate just for us. Non-stitching Partner Attendees
If you have a partner/friend who wants to attend the weekend with you, but is not interested in any of the workshops or shopping at the store, they can sign up for the Weekend Stitching Retreat 2024 - Meals Only Attendee event.

Saturday September 14th:
9AM - 12 PM - Workshop with Barry
3 - 5 PM - Meet & Greet with Nancy Bates
6:30 - 8:30 PM - Catered Dinner

Sunday September 15th:
9AM - 12 PM - Workshop with Barry
2 - 4 PM - Workshop with Nancy Bates
6 - 8 PM - Catered Dinner

Monday September 16th:
11 AM - 1PM - Finals hours to shop and save 20% Off everything in the shop

Workshop Details
During Barry Klein's workshops on Saturday and Sunday mornings, you will learn to make these beautiful garments.



During Nancy Bates' workshop on Sunday afternoon, you will learn Hat Design Basics. This includes inspiration, gauge, stitch and yarn choices, putting it all together, etc. This is Nancy's favorite workshop to lead, so it will be fabulous!

Trendsetter started as a dream. My mother and I wanted to bring the most exciting, creative, innovative and trendsetting yarns to the U.S. yarn market. I believe we’ve done just that. When asked what I do for a living, I say “I’m the luckiest person in the world. My job is different every day. I get to be creative in designing yarn and knitwear always looking for a new texture, color or way to generate something wearable. I get to travel the world looking for new yarns. I get to teach knitting on Television and write books on knitting. I get to teach knitting on cruise ships, riverboats and at conventions around the globe. Most of all, I get to express my love for what I do every day because my clients are my friends and the people I teach and meet all become part of my knitting family. What truly expresses luck is to see that my staff backs my company and loves what we do as much as I do.”
