Learn to Crochet Amigurumi Stuffed Toys

Course Overview
Learn the basics of Amigurumi techniques to make your very own stuffed toy! In this class we will begin with the basics of reading an amigurumi pattern, crocheting a sphere, and breaking down Amigurumi construction. After mastering these techniques in the first session, we will continue on to making a full stuffed animal out of the Amigurumi for Beginners book (included in class fee).

Skills Required
This class is for intermediate beginners that have a firm grasp on basic crochet concepts such as

• chaining
• single crochet in the flat
• tension control
• basic pattern reading and abbreviations

You will learn:

• methods for working in the round
• increase and decrease techniques
• to create a basic sphere
• closing a circle
• to read an Amigurumi pattern
• color changes techniques
• to make a full stuffed animal
• to join different pieces of your animal together
• to add finishing touches to your animal

• Amigurumi for Beginners book
• Poly fill to stuff your toy

• Enough Worsted weight yarn to complete your toy. We recommend the following budget yarns:

• Stitch Markers, scissors, tapestry needle

There needs to be a minimum of 3 people to run this class.

Age Requirement
You must be 10 years or older to take this class. Attendees under 13 years old must be accompanied by a parent.

Full payment is needed to reserve your space. For a full refund on the class, cancellations must be made 5 days before the class. All refunds are given as store credit only. If we cancel the class for any reason or we are able to fill your slot, you will receive a full refund.
