Emmy's Scarf

A soft and chunky scarf designed for a California girl heading to college in Minnesota! (That's not Emmy in the picture). The scarf is knit with three skeins of Maxima from Manos del Uruguay held double, so it goes pretty fast.

Though this is a "One Size" pattern, it can easily be lengthened or shortened by knitting more or fewer pattern repeats.

Finished Measurements: 7 1⁄4 ” wide by 76” long after blocking.

Materials: Approximately 630 yards of worsted weight yarn. Sample in Manos Del Uruguay, Maxima (100% Merino), 3 skeins of Carmine/#2199

Needles: US # 11 (8mm), or size to achieve gauge

Gauge: With yarn held double 23 stitches (pattern and edge stitches)= 7 1⁄4”
16rows=4”

Stockinette gauge with yarn held double for reference: 12 stitches and 16 rows = 4”
