Red Planet Hat

Double knitting: it's twice as warm because it's two hats in one!

On one side, Sami dominates; on the other side, Marla. The checkerboard pattern is made easy with the use of plenty of ring markers and ends before the crown shaping. If double knitting is a new technique for you, don't worry: as long as you've made a hat before, this is a good first project.
